In 2005, new owners converted the apartments into condominiums, allowing residents to own their own homes and continue to enjoy independent living services, amenities and activities for a monthly fee.
The new owners immediately undertook an 18-month, $1.25 million renovation to the property, making numerous physical improvements for greater comfort, function and beauty. These included a major landscaping plan, a brand new state-of-the-art commercial kitchen, an expanded dining area with outdoor seating, as well as new carpeting, painting, roofing and siding throughout the premises.
In 2008, a second renovation to the property expanded the number of two bedroom homes and created two new, larger one bedroom homes.
In addition to its 28 condominium homes, The Greens contains a number of comfortable community living areas, including a spacious community living room, an airy sunroom, a comfortable dining room, and a peaceful library.
Outside, The Greens features numerous plantings, gardens and flowers, as well as an exterior pathway around the circumference of the property that is popular for walking.
