About us

The Greens is a small, vibrant, caring community filled with a diverse group of active, intellectually stimulating, and friendly neighbors. Our staff prides itself on being attentive, helpful and supportive – with a caring smile.

Our residents include a sculptress, an editor, Dartmouth professors emeriti, a former business manager, and many other interesting people with varied careers, backgrounds and interests. Everyone enjoys coming together for our delicious midday community meal.

Our monthly calendar includes many activities. As a rule, we have movie nights twice a week, exercise classes five mornings a week, and hospitality hours every Friday afternoon – with complimentary drinks and light hors d’oeuvres.

Regularly, The Greens offers live entertainment on-site and provides opportunities for local outings, for which The Greens provides transportation. Residents also gather in weekly social groups based on the changing interests of the community.

In short, there’s plenty to do, and lots of wonderful people to enjoy, here at The Greens.

Location, location...

The Greens is located on Lyme Road, just minutes from beautiful downtown Hanover, NH, the Dartmouth College Campus, and the highly regarded Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Transportation is provided in our van several times a week to local events, activities and shopping.

The Hanover area is an ideal retirement location, one of the most popular in the country, and it’s easy to see why.
